I decided I needed icons with libraries and books in them. So I made a batch. Being as tired as I am right now, though, a bunch of these didn't turn out all that well, though a few did. But I thought I'd share what I made with anyone, just in case they may have wanted some. Enjoy :)

I just started reading Buffy Season 8. (Just Just. I've only finished the first issue.)
And I find myself desperately missing Drusilla. And Darla. But mostly Drusilla.
Oh how I loved her brand of insanity.
She truly was one of the most fun characters ever to RP against (or as). And one of the most interesting characters to write.
Seriously.
It makes me want to email an old friend from high school who I haven't spoken with in months and months just to try and rp with her again, like we used to. I always played the Angel or Spike or Xander to her crazy Drusilla or homicidal Darla. |

Hey guys, the uber awesome Pirate Bay has created their own blogging service - Bay Words.
From their front page:

I thought it was interesting and a step in the right direction as far as blogs go. Also, one thing I did notice when you sign up for one of their blogs, there are no TOS. At all.

I just made a post with a bunch of my recent palettes and patterns.
Here's a taste of what I've posted:
I absolutely adore bright colours, so I have an urge to constantly make bright palettes. I've wrestled with that urge every time I go to make a new one. But, this is kind of my current favorite.
I was looking at blankets and came across a girl's blanket in pinks and purples and decided I *had* to make a pattern based on it.

Just like everyone else posting tonight, I'm in shock over Anj's death.
...
It was actually difficult for me to even write that.
I hadn't had her friended since she changed her user name. But I remember chatting with her when she used to be rosesanguina, and it must have been ages ago now, but it feels like so much shorter. And now I can't believe she's gone.
nimori posted about it earlier. And I read her post and felt my heart stop when I read what she had said. But it was cluegirl's post about it that really made it hit home and brought tears to my eyes. And now I'm crying over someone who I never really got to know closely, someone who I haven't spoken to in months. But someone who had, indeed, made an impact on my life.
It's just that it's all such a shock, I think, that someone that I know, that we know, can be here one moment, and be gone the next. So suddenly and without any warning at all. That just like that one more bright light in all this darkness has slipped away.
*clings to everyone*
I hope you all know that I love you all very much. I'll try my best not to take anyone for granted. |

Yes, I fall in love with things easily.
And the most recent object of my love? Bleach.
Yeah.
I've been reading the manga. Constantly. At work, at home, whenever I get a chance. I love it to pieces. I love the characters and the world and everything.
I love Ichigo and Chad and Rukia and Ishida and Urahara. And Renji. I adore Renji. But also Byakuya and Toshiro. I even kinda like Orihime. :)
Seriously, this series is made of so much win, and I can't stop thinking about fics and fanart and wanting to do a bit more with it. But at the same time I can't stop reading it long enough to do anything anyway.
So much love for this series, for real.

I remember when I was more active in the HP fandom, we'd have drabble night. A group of us would get together on chat and issue challenges and share our drabbles at the end of a time limit.
It was challenging and fun. And always yielded interesting results.
I kind of miss that.
I haven't seen anything like that in Bandom, if there is anything at all. |

Ugh.
I have the cold from hell. Or as Chris calls it, Satan's cold.
Seriously. This is the most miserable I've felt in a long long time. It's affecting my entire head and my chest, causing my asthma to act up, among other things. I've spent all night with cotton balls in my ears to hold in the ear drops so my ears will stop aching. My glands are swollen. And my throat hurts like nobody's business. Also? My voice keeps going in and out if I talk for any amount of time. Did I mention I can't breathe because my nose is so stuffed?
Just. Ugh. I'm ready to pretty much die now. I think I've felt better with the flu.
Anyway, how are you guys doing? I hope better than me. |

Guys, seriously, I haven't read much fic recently at all, but I took the time to read this. And so should you.
Buy Handmade by jjtaylor
It's about Frank being stuck in cubicle hell and actually wanting to do something with his life, to make things. And, guh, you have no idea how much I feel like this myself. Anyway, it's Frank/Gerard. And even if you don't like this pairing, this story is worth a read just because it's so awesome.
The author's summary: He knows something else is going to happen; his life isn't always going to be this. He just doesn't know what has to happen for that change to come, for him to wake up and become an artist with an Etsy page and a home studio, and to never have to see a cubicle again. |
